How to Lift a Bad Professional Hair Color?

I went to the salon on Friday with blonde hair. I told the hairdresser I wanted to add some brown highlights to it so it would not be as difficult to maintain during the winter. She totally screwed my hair up. It is very dark brown and instead of having my blonde show threw, she put a toner on so it looks like I have copper highlights. Of course the salon is closed and they are out of town at a hiar show until Wednesday anyway. I have to work tomorrow, and I really can't go like this. Is there anything I can do at home to fix this mess?? I understand everyone has an opinion, but right now I really just need helpfull and factual answers. Thank you!How to Lift a Bad Professional Hair Color?
If you touch it it becomes your problem and no longer the salons. Yeah it sucks, but suck it up until they are open again and go back and have them fix it. Ask for a different stylist, one who knows what they are doing and don't be shy about voicing that. They should fix it for free. They never should have put a toner on top of your blonde unless you didn't want to keep any of it. If it's copper now you could end up with a bigger mess if you try to do anything to it on your own.How to Lift a Bad Professional Hair Color?
Really the only way to fix it is to go to a different salon. I had the same thing happen. I have red hair and wanted low lights and ended up with dark brown hair. It looked awful! I called a higher end salon and got it fixed with no problem. Not all salons are closed on Monday. Check around and find one that has a good reputation. I found out the hard way that it doesn't pay to skimp when it comes to color. Good luck!!
